One Man's Refugee Story: Sief Mahagoub
Originally a refugee from East Sudan, Sief Mahagoub will discuss his own challenges, commonly faced by many refugees, prior to coming the United States and what it was like once he arrived. Adapting to a new culture can be a long road, but also a rewarding one. Sief’s personal story and military experience as an interpreter and cultural trainer make for a presentation you definitely won’t want to miss.
You will come out of this presentation with a better understanding of what refugees must endure and persevere just to live a life of safety and basic rights. If you work with refugees or serve clients who are refugees, we recommend this presentation.
