“Do You Really See Me”
A poverty awareness project of the Human Services Federation
On Tuesday, June 3, 2008, over 125 participants—representing more than 60 organizations, congregations, and communities of faith—came together for the kickoff of the Human Services Federation’s “Do You Really See Me” project. The HSF Religious Affinity and Action Group had been working for several months putting together a toolkit, video, and speaker’s bureau to engage local congregations in a community partnership with human service agencies to address the immediate and systemic issues of poverty. Thank you to the members of the Religious Affinity and Action Group for their dedicated work to the project and please stay tuned for information regarding implementation and opportunities for you and your organization.
